lars and heihachi
the father he despises
As we know, Heihachi is Lars' biological father. Yes. Heihachi has an illegitimate child. We can assume Lars was conceived during the time period Heihachi commanded an operation in Scandinavia—Lars told us himself about said operation. Now, Lars was the only one who knew Heihachi was his daddy, but Heihachi "always had his suspicions." One shouldn't be surprised. This is Heihachi Mishima. Have you seen him? Yeah, that's right. Judging from his actions—actions that include throwing his own son into a volcano, and shooting his own grandson in his head at point blank range—Heihachi having some illegitimate children seems plausible.

In my opinion, the way these two interacted in SC could have been done ten times better. Lars seemed to have this completely random animosity toward his father, enough to pull out a gun on him and attempt to kill him by means of shooting him. It is unclear why Lars hates his daddy so much; is it some kind of Mishima protocal to hate him? I mean I can understand Jin and Kazuya, but Lars hating him and swearing to kill him out of nowhere is just...wat? It's been speculated that maybe because Heihachi might have hurt his mother that Lars is angry, but...still. This animated gif describes the relationship between Lars and Heihachi perfectly!:
